Caroline Brogden is an established jeweller based on the Isle of Anglesey, working from a deep connection to coastal landscapes and the rhythms of outdoor life. Her practice is shaped by years of exploring the British shoreline, where colour, texture, and geological detail continue to inform her approach to design.
Caroline’s current body of work centres on a collaboration with Scottish surfboard shaper Jay Burnett. Through this partnership, she works with Surfite—the vividly layered resin waste generated during surfboard manufacture—reclaiming and refining the material before setting it by hand in precious silver. The resulting pieces form a collection of distinctive, one-of-a-kind jewellery that celebrates contemporary craft, material innovation, and a shared respect for the coastal environment.

“I just had to write to say a huge thank you for the surfite earrings you sent. I know when I first contacted you I was looking for Christmas presents, but I have to admit that the Lifebuoy studs didn’t quite make it to the intended recipient… but instead adorned my ears for most of the Christmas period! I love the concept of my own little buoyancy aids to help me stay afloat in these tough times. Thank you.”
Sara Jane, North Yorkshire
